27 November 2008 - My Birthday

Today i turned 1. What a great day. I got somthered with love and attention, got lots of food, and a pink diamante collar that any dog would die for. I got to eat cake and chicken and everything, i wish everyday was my birthday. In the pictures are Mom's sisters, and my favourite picture of me, Mom and Dad.

November 2008 - Swimming

I went for a swim this weekend.....and i hated it. Dad took me in but i couldn't wait to get out. Normally IG's like swimming but not today. Maybe next time. Bummer!

My Best Friend - October 2008

This as you know is my Mom. We have grown so close and do lots of fun stuff together, like eat, sleep, watch TV, and go for nice walks. She is my best friend. She loves me and takes such good care of me. She kisses me too much actually, but i love the attention!

Pillow Puppy - October 2008

Ok, this is just me being cute...in the pillows, on the couch! I love sleeping in between all the pillows.

Keeping Fit - September 2008

My favorite exercise is definately sprinting, but my garden at home is not big enough, i only get to sprint my heart out on weekends at the park. But while i'm at home i keep fit by boxing with Dad. Even though the gloves are bigger than my head, i still give him a run for his money!

The Picnic - July 2008

This was a great day. We went on a picnic to Zoo Lake with my friend Leila the Cockerspaniel. Well i'm her friend but she always growls at me so i don't think she likes me much. I was so jealous because she was allowed off the leash and i wasn't! She is about 4 years older than me. We had lunch with Mom and Dad's friends, Nick and Maria, and Leila and i got some treats. We walked around the lake and relaxed on our blanket. Hope we do it again soon!

A Good Day Out - June 2008

What a treat. This is my favorite thing to do and i look forward to it once a week. Every Sunday Mom and Dad take me to this park called Gillooly's Farm. They have lunch at the restaurant there and they also treat me to my very own hamburger. Then we walk around the lake and they take me to an open dog park where i can run around without my leash. I am definately the fastest dog in the park. I have also gotten used to travelling in the car and sit quite comfortably strapped in the back seat.

Change of Season - May 2008

Well South African is slowly moving into winter and i am not liking it. Anyone who knows us Iggies, knows that we hate the cold. Well with being so small and skinny what do you expect. You're actually quite lucky to catch a glimpse of my face because usually i bury myslef right at the bottom of the duvet by Mom and Dad's feet where it is nice and warm.

But during the day i love to lie and bask in the sun. My best is to sit at the top of the couch and laze around until the folks come home to play. Because of the way i lie, the neighbours probably think i'm a cat!

Comfort Zone - April 2008

I am definately loving life here. My Mom and Dad treat me like royalty. I am very settled now, and know the in's and outs of this place. Mom and Dad love to watch TV, especially Dad as you can see in the picture below. I love to sleep on Mom and Dad.....i actually love to sleep anywhere. A dog's life........

My First Few Days at Home - March 2008

Well it was a sweet welcome. My new Mom and Dad are very cool. They had bought me some nice toys and clothes and really made me feel at home. At first i was a little scared and would hide in the washing basket, but then i got used to my surroundings and now i'm the boss of the bed.

Hi Again

I was totally excited when my new Mom paid me a visit this past Saturday. I missed her a lot and she missed me too. Except this time, instead of bringing Andrew she brought this very strange blonde girl with her. She is apparently my Godmother. I could tell she wasn't a 'dog person'. But after a while i had her eating out of my hand, I think she really likes me actually. She's a strange one though.....

So i can't wait to go to my new home in 2 weeks time. My humanoid parents will be moving in the next 10 days, and they will make sure it's nice and comfy before they come and fetch me.

My First Post - January 2008

Hi Everyone

My name is Sammy, I was born on the 27th of November 2007, I am now 7 weeks old. I will be the first new addition to the Andrew & Angie Family tree. I am a Pedigree Italian Greyhound. I am very small right now, I will grow taller but am a skinny malinky and always will be (my new Mom is very jealous about that).

I am still chilling with my real Mom for her milk right now, but I will be very pleased to meet all of you in 6 weeks time. Get used to my face… cause my new Mom is gonna take me everywhere with her!
